To maximize plant growth, the pH of your aquaponic fish tank water should be 6.8 - 7.0. pH can reach unacceptably high levels when high pH water is added, pH unstable media, such as rock wool and granite gravel products, are used, or an anaerobic zone develops in your grow bed. Directions: Use to lower pH in an aquaponics system when it is 7.6 or higher to bring it down to 7.0. Rapid changes in pH can be harmful to fish so use sparingly and adjust over several hours or days. Add to system a little at a time, wait for it to distribute throughout the system, then retest pH. Repeat, until the desired pH is reached. The quantity necessary to adjust pH will vary depending on the nature of the grow media and the purity of the water in the system. Storage: Store in a cool, dark place. Caution: Phosphoric Acid causes burns. Handle with care. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. In case of contact wash from skin or eyes with plenty of water for several minutes. Keep locked up and out of reach of children. If swallowed, call your physician or Poison Control Center. Proper use, storage and disposal is the responsibility of the user.
